Hey out there! Welcome!

I started this site just for the heck of it way back in 1996, when all this internet nonsense was in its infancy. And how things have changed over the years! Our little site, which gained some notoriety in those days, is now considered something from the stone age in terms of web design.

As Coach and team historian, I'd already been chronicling the exploits of the AWA Enterprises Softball Club since the team's inception in 1975, and when someone (my brother, Sherman -- the guilty party) suggested I put up a site dedicated to our long-standing and mildly successful softball team, So here it is.

Taking my hobby to the internet proved to be an experience both taxing and rewarding. I learned a lot fiddling with this stuff, trying to keep up (and failing badly) with the new technologies.

I've met similar softball web geeks over the years, and the exchange has been fun.

But time marches on and things change. The softball team has ceased to exist, but I've kept up this portion of the site for old fans and players to reminisce about, and for new fans to explore. The focus of the site is now the AWA Golf Association, formed in 1999, and which is comprised of mostly old AWA softball players. So it continues into our old age. You are welcome to explore and enjoy the exploits of what we lovingly refer to as "Ah-wah".
